In 2001, Ridley Scott and Russel Crowe released a movie many of us know and believe to be not only a great film, but a classic, The Gladiator. A film where a man who once stood in high position, has everything taken from him, almost dies, and ends up against all odds maintaining his dignity, honor, and acting with courage to defeat a tyrant.
Without knowing it at the time, those stoic virtues and the determination portrayed by Russel Crowe’s character, the General turned Gladiator, Maximus Decimus Meridius, transformed my life as a young man and was and still is the inspiration driving myself and the brand today.
The qualities that Maximus portrays in the movie ranging from the determination to survive, to the courage in the face of insurmountable odds, to choosing honor over the easy way, and finally facing any situation with a dignified calmness made choosing the name fairly simple. Maximus.

Why was it formed?
Maximus Digital was formed out of necessity, to help our family business, PTY Custom Lighting, with their marketing budget and to create a new brand identity. We have always been creative and interested in marketing, so we saw this as an opportunity to help not only our family, but ourselves, and other businesses.
We started out small, but with a lot of hard work and dedication, we have grown into a successful marketing agency. We now work with a variety of businesses, big and small, and help them with all aspects of their marketing, from branding and identity, to social media and online marketing, to traditional marketing and advertising.
